WHEREAS, we the messengers of the Elmore Baptist Association, gathering in our 92nd annual meeting held October 18, 2005, at Mountain View Baptist Church; have been blessed through the reports and testimonies of the Lord's faithful servants; and

WHEREAS, the churches of the Elmore Baptist Association, by the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ and under the leadership of the Holy Spirit, continue to engage in ministries together that no one church could do alone.

BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED, that we voice our praise and thanksgiving to Our Lord for His achievements in and through the churches this past year; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that we direct our thanks to the Mountain View Baptist Church and her pastor, the Reverend Anthony Counts, for hosting this meeting, for their warm hospitality, and for the comforts of their lovely facility; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that we express our gratitude to the Reverend Faron Golden, for his leadership as Moderator of our Annual Associational Meeting; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that we express to our beloved Director of Missions, Dr. James M. Jackson, our deepest appreciation and continued support as he gives leadership and direction to our Association of Churches, for his genuine concern for kingdom work, and for the compassionate manner he expresses concern for pastor & staff & families as well as the laity of our churches; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that we convey special thanks to Betty Jackson, Associational Secretary, for the gracious spirit she shows in Association's ministry together with Brother Jim; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that we direct our gratefulness to our Associational Clerk, Rodna Smith, for her dedication and her efficiency in the recording of the minutes of this meeting,

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that we express our deepest appreciation to Mary Ann Rowe, our Associational Treasurer, for her faithful dedication and commitment in administering the finances of the association; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that we direct our thanks to all of the program personalities for a ministry well done, to the Reverend Todd Smith and to the Reverend Donnie O’Fallon for their messages from God’s Word; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that we declare our gratitude to the pastors, the Executive Committee, along with all the other committees and leaders for faithful support and guidance in all areas of our Association; and

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED, that we continue to follow the mandates of the Scriptures as we endeavor to serve the Lord Jesus Christ by ministering through the Churches in Elmore Association, as we endeavor too Evangelize the lost, Equip the Saints and Edify the Church.

Resolution Commemorating the Tenth Anniversary of Our Director of Missions

WHEREAS, we the messengers of the Elmore Baptist Association, gathering in our 92nd annual meeting held October 18, 2005, at Mountain View Baptist Church; and

WHEREAS, Dr. James M. Jackson has marked his tenth anniversary as our Director of Missions, with his wife Betty at his side, diligently assisting churches as office secretary; and 

WHEREAS, Dr. Jackson has led us in mission, vision, and ministry.

BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED, that we voice our praise and thanksgiving to the Lord Jesus for Dr. Jackson’s faithful service to the Elmore Baptist Association; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that we express our respect for the way he has led our Association in planting new congregations, in expanding our missionary work alongside our Hispanic brethren, and innumerable significant ways; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that we express our gratitude for the way he has helped churches in those times when help was most needed; in the interim periods between pastors, in conflict resolution, and in crisis management; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that we express our appreciation for the way he has stood alongside our pastors and staff members with helpful insight, assistance, and encouragement; and

BE IT FINALLY RESOLVED, that we express our love to Jim and Betty, and pray God’s continual blessing upon them.
